To describe me is to begin with the fact that I am, of first importance, a Christ-follower. I first yielded my life to Jesus as a nine-year-old boy. Unfortunately, I was not really taught what it means to follow Jesus beyond going to church, saying my prayers and avoiding bad music, bad language and bad girls. Not until my twenties did anyone really invest in helping me develop into a committed follower of Jesus, on mission in the world.
I have had the privilege of spending most of my life and the last 35 years of marriage with my high school love. Jodi and I are the parents of two sons: Dillon (married to Jennifer), and Hayden (married to Mikaela); and, for the last few years we are proud grandparents to Daniel and Elizabeth. More about our family can be found HERE.
When I graduated from high school in 1988, I joined the US Army, serving as a Military Policeman, a Criminal Investigator, and an Army Recruiter. These jobs laid the foundation for two career pursuits after the Army…as a Deputy Sheriff and as a corporate sales guy. In 2000, with a call on my life to tell Jesus’ story, I began to train for ministry and have been serving Him through the local church ever since.
My family and I have served four churches together including one that we planted in Malta, New York. Jodi and I continue to serve the broader family of Christ through our passion to invest in marriages. We have led marriage conferences, retreats, and enrichment weekends across the country and among our missionaries overseas.
I enjoy serving the Lord through serving His people. I am passionate about investing in leaders and helping pastors navigate the waters of leading their churches to flourish and flourish again.
Much of my story has yet to be written. My hope is that the Lord will grant me many more years to serve Him; nevertheless, if I only had another day to do so, I would want to do it well and hear Him declare, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
